Hello there and thank you for stopping by my blog! My name is Emily and I live in the beautiful state of Maine. A little bit about me; I am an individual who loves hiking, weight lifting, hanging out with animals, and doing crafts!

This blog’s main purpose is to document my homestead journey but also to write about my different adventures I go on. Blue Phoenix Farm is the name of my little growing farm. Currently we have chickens, quail, 3 barn cats (Noomi, Nami, and Robin) I’ve slowly learned over the years that you can’t let other people determine what your dreams are. When you know deep down what you want, you need to chase it. And I am very happy to be this is nothing to be ashamed of and while I’m in those moments, I just need to embrace the moment to be the best I can at it.

I previously worked as a Firefighter/EMT, Medical Assistant, and an Animal Care Technician. This past year I have started my little homestead and am learning as much as I can. Currently I am in school for an Herbology. After that, my plans are to go into schooling for Naturopathic Medicine for animals.
